Adam T. McLain, Ph.D.
Evolutionary and Conservation Biologist, Primatologist
Welcome!
My research is focused on evolutionary biology and population genetics, with an interest in conservation.
The majority of my work involves lemurs, primate species endemic to Madagascar. I am interested in genetic diversity levels in endangered primate populations, as well as evolutionary history and phylogenetics. Lemur species included in my research include or have included dwarf and mouse lemurs, sifakas, indris and aye-ayes. In the past I have worked on genetic studies of gorillas, gibbons, and macaques.
